The WHD Touch Panel, TP 4200 is a programmable control element for installation in the flush-mounted box, suitable for the multi-zone amplifier AMP 4200 and the mixer amplifier AMP 1200. The combination of touch and action buttons gives you the best comfort in terms of control with a quick selection of certain important functions. In addition, the control panel contains a timer function and password protection for unwanted access. 

Easy for Everyone

The TP 4200 is an optional, central control element for the AMP 4200 multi-zone amplifier and the AMP 1200 mixer amplifier from WHD: One or more users can use it to remotely control and organize the defined music zones of an amplifier. The combination of preset touch and action buttons means that important functions can be accessed quickly and reliably.

It is very easy to use and comes in two languages ​​(German and English). Installation is very straightforward and quick thanks to the step-by-step instructions. Zone and source designation is effortless on the TP4200. The action buttons have the following functions: mute, source selection and volume control for the respective music zone. In addition, acoustic and haptic feedback can be set as feedback if desired.

Modern connection

The touch panel can be connected to LAN using RJ 45 / POE. It can also be connected via WLAN. The power supply can be provided either via a PoE adapter or via an external 12VDC power cable. 

Smart amplifier control from a distance

Up to four mono zones and up to two stereo zones can be set per control unit – this makes the touch panel ideal for smart home systems. The configuration of a panel can be carried out individually or synchronized with an already configured TP 4200. A multi-zone amplifier can be operated using one or more touch panels. Up to 4 amplifiers can even be controlled using the free PC software.

There are 3 volume levels available for the maximum volume per zone: loud (0 dB), moderate (-6 dB), background music (-12 dB). Based on these settings, optimized DSP settings are selected for connected WHD speakers and thus optimally adjusted to your hearing.

The timer function of the TP 4200 allows you to play radio and music automatically depending on the time and zone: This allows you to define which sound source should be switched on or off in one or more zones at a certain time. It is also possible to set certain days for each timer setting: for example, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. Internet radio for the breakfast room, and at the weekend lounge music until 10:30 p.m. on the terrace.

Password protection also prevents unauthorized persons from making unwanted changes directly to the settings. Individual zones that should not be controlled via the respective touch panel can also be hidden in the touch panels.

In addition, the control touchscreen can be used as a clock display, as several screen options are offered: 2x clock motifs, 3x WHD logo motifs, 1x dark display motif. For commercial use, we also offer customized screen savers on request, e.g. one with the customer’s logo.

The modern and elegant design fits in with any interior and is timeless. The wall installation can be done in a simple flush-mounted box. An additional frame is not required. The touch panel is therefore a clever extension for both domestic and commercial areas.
